Major milestone reached for the EU PVSEC 2016 Conference programme
First days of March saw a big step forward in the preparation of the EU PVSEC 2016 conference programme. There was a great response to the call for abstracts, with contributions from 6482 authors and co-authors from 88 countries, so the 140 paper reviewers and 50 topic organisers had a very busy February evaluating all the submissions.
Over 2-4 March both the Programme Committee, with the Topic Organisers, and the Executive Committee met in Brussels to finalise the selection of keynotes, plenaries, oral and visuals, as well as the student awards and the papers for the peer-review journal process. It's confirmed that the programme will be over 5 days (starting first thing Monday 20 June to lunchtime on Friday 24 June). We will inform all authors of the outcome for their abstract soon. The full programme will be available on the web by the end of March 2016.
Once again a big thanks to all the authors and co-authors, as well as to the paper reviewers and topic organisers who did a great job under a very tight time schedule.
