Weidmüller is presenting its new 'u-remote: safe digital I/O modules' at the Hanover Trade Fair in Hall 11, Stand B 60 from 13.04.2015 until 17.04.2015
- Weidmüller "u-remote": Intrinsically safe, digital I/O modules for PROFIsafe or FailSafe over EtherCAT (FSoE)
- Leaner planning, easier installation, faster commissioning and fewer downtimes with "u-remote" safety modules
In producing the two safety modules, "4DI/4DO" and "8DI" for connection to PROFIsafe or FailSafe over EtherCAT (FSoE), Weidmüller is continuing to build on its "u-remote" remote I/O system which already has a firm foothold on the market. The two new and innovative safety modules, which feature a yellow-coloured connection level, complement the existing safe power-feed modules of the "u-remote" system. The new "4DI/4DO" safety module even combines several safety functions in a single compact module that measures a mere 11.5 mm in width. It minimises the safety architecture and eliminates the need to purchase other special modules. The module's high level of parameterisation reduces the number of variants and speeds up what is already a precise module selection process. Remote diagnosis via the "u-remote" web server simplifies commissioning and shortens maintenance times. Both the new safety I/O modules and the safe power-feed modules naturally feature all the advantages of the modular remote I/O system: "u-remote" is characterised by a pluggable connection level, high component density and outstanding performance, and is synonymous with high levels of efficiency and productivity. Other significant features include lean planning, simple installation, fast commissioning and the prevention of downtimes.
