Weidmüller WPD X01-X03 mail line branch terminals: slim main line branch terminals with approval for aluminium conductors. - Connect main lines in the smallest of spaces

(PresseBox) (Detmold, )
Weidmüller's new WPD X01-X03 main line branch terminals have an exceptionally compact design and are certified for aluminium conductors in accordance with IEC 61238-1 "Class A". With a permissible voltage of 1000 V DC they meet all the requirements of complex applications. WPD X01-X03 terminals are extremely durable and currently the slimmest solution on the market, with a module width of just 17.8 mm for 25-mm² connections. The new main line branch terminals ensure reliable and safe connections in all situations.

Industrial applications often need to house a great deal of technology in an extremely small space. On long cable paths, aluminium is being increasingly used instead of copper to keep costs down. But it is no small matter to supply aluminium conductors with power as it places high demands on the contact points. Not all supply terminals are up to the task. This is not the case for the new WPD X01-X03 main line branch terminals: in addition to their slim, space-saving design they are also approved for aluminium conductors according to IEC 61238-1 "Class A". And with a permissible voltage of 1000 V DC they meet all the requirements of complex applications. The compact charging stations for electric cars, for example, are packed with technology. This is where the new WPD X01-X03 main line branch terminals come into their own with a slim design and outstanding durability - even when combined with aluminium connections and conductors.

Safe applications are always ensured with the new WPD X01-X03 main line branch terminals from Weidmüller: in addition to approval for aluminium conductors in accordance with IEC 61238-1, the new main line branch terminals have passed the tests for IEC 60947-7-1 and DIN VDE 0603-2 with flying colours. And to ensure they can be used without danger in a multitude of surroundings, all WPD X01-X03 terminals come with a halogen-free, self-extinguishing plastic housing with V0 flammability rating according to UL 94 and touch safety as per EN 50247.

WPD X01-X03 terminals are synonymous with versatile connection options: whether they are used for copper or aluminium cables, the catch mechanism of the new main line branch terminals allows them to be combined to form blocks as required; they are also suitable for connections measuring 2.5 mm² to 70 mm².

A high level of durability is guaranteed through sophisticated technology: WPD X01-X03 terminals can even be used with voltages up to 1000 V DC. And the extremely compact design of the main line branch terminals currently makes them the slimmest solution on the market, measuring just 17.8 mm for 25-mm² connections.

With their new design and user-friendly rounded contours they are quick to install. If two or more WPD X01-X03s are being installed, they can be mounted either horizontally or vertically on TS 35 DIN rails for application-specific cable routing. The neatly designed main line branch terminals use highly visible marking tags for the clear designation of equipment. They thus stand for order and safety in the control cabinet.

The following one to five-pole modules or series are available. 1) main line branch terminals with a rated current of 152 A: WPD 101 (single-pole), WPD 301 (three-pole), WPD 401 (four-pole) and WPD 501 (five-pole). 2) modules with a rated current of 202 A: WPD 102 (single-pole), WPD 202 (two-pole) and WPD 302 (three-pole). 3) single-pole module WPD 103 with a rated current of 300 A.
