Weatherdock AG is the quality home of AIS safety and VHF based real-time-tracking equipment in the world

The German high-end products from Weatherdock are the worldwide synonym for reliable VHF based technologies with cost effective pricing

(PresseBox) (Nürnberg, )
“Franconian Technologies for the oceans of the world” – this slogan suits perfectly to our midsized company based in Nuremberg in the South of Germany. With more than 50 distributors and lots of customers in 30 countries around the world it is a clear statement that “Made in Germany” has a huge request.

In 2018 this world wide activities have been awarded with the Bavarian Export Award in the category “Industry” with approx. 80% export rate. This can only be achieved with a huge amount of satisfied customers – and of course with reliable products. “We are on the right way. This award shows it very clearly” said Weatherdock CEO Alfred Kotouczek.

Full product range of AIS devices

The product portfolio covers the full range of AIS: Receiver, Class B Transceiver with 5 Watt SOTDMA as well as with 2 Watt CSTDMA slot management, with integrated VHF antenna splitter, integrated WiFi connectivity and integrated GPS antenna. AIS personal emergency locating beacon (AIS SART and AIS MOB with or without additional DSC functionality) is completing the product range. The AIS SART easyRESCUE is the only SOLAS listed device of this small size in the market. Ten thousands of the easyRESCUE model are used by Navy’s and Rescue Organizations around the world every day – successfully and reliable.

VHF based real-time-tracking solutions

The second pillar for the worldwide export success of Weatherdock are our small portable locating transmitter which are based on VHF position reporting. These devices are used for small fishing vessel tracking around the world because of their handy size, their reliable quality and their best technical performance figures in the market. Because of their cost effectivity this real-time-tracking solution is very interesting for smaller countries and their artisanal fishing projects. Marine Domain Awareness and Coastal Surveillance have become more and more important to national authorities.

This increasing worldwide request for small vessel tracking will now close the circle to the 2018 Bavarian Export Award we had been awarded with in the category “industry”.
