Smart watches and glasses are currently all over the place: In the media, on the runway as well as on the wrists and in the faces of technology hipsters from Atlanta to Zagreb. Juniper Research recently projected smart glasses and other wearable devices to be worth over $1.5bn by 2014, Canalys reports over 5 million smart watches to ship the same year which equals a 900% increase over forecasted shipments for 2013.
These device types are also very relevant for the safety and security market as they not only keep booth hands free. "We have seen a lot of projects for this market segment lately and expect the first devices to enter the market soon.
