The installation of the turbines in Böny, about 80 km west of Budapest, will start during the fourth quarter of 2009. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
Under the aegis of Mr Lendvay as Managing Director of EURO GREEN ENERGY and several of its subsidiaries, they have established four wind parks with a total of 11 wind turbines in operation in Hungary - all of them Vestas turbines.
"Vestas has been the perfect partner for us for several years, and we look forward to further strengthening our business relations," states Péter Lendvay, Managing Director of EURO GREEN ENERGY.
The Böny wind project is financed by Raiffeisen Energy Kft., a member of the Hungarian Raiffeisen Banking Group, which acts as a financial investor. The company provides integrated services in relation to implementation, financing and operation of renewable energy investments.
"We are very satisfied with this new contract in Hungary, which confirms our positive expectations for this market. We also appreciate the ongoing cooperation with our business partners Raiffeisen Energy Kft. and EURO GREEN ENERGY, and we are pleased about their confidence in Vestas' technology," says Hans Jørn Rieks, President of Vestas Central Europe.
