Verleihung in vier Kategorien:
Neu in diesem Jahr ist, dass der Award um eine vierte Kategorie erweitert wurde. Neben den Preiskategorien 'RFID-Technologien und -Anwendungen', 'Optische Identifikation' (Barcode, 2D Code etc.) und 'Innovatives Unternehmen' wird erstmals ein vierter Preis in der Kategorie 'Sichere Identität' vergeben. Die Prämierung wird der steigenden Bedeutung des Themas Sicherheit im Allgemeinen und im Zusammenhang mit Identifikation im Speziellen gerecht. Dabei wird die Sichere Identität von Objekten ebenso adressiert wie die Sichere Identität von Personen.
Unternehmen, die Produkte, Lösungen und Services rund um die Automatische Identifikation entwickeln, anbieten und umsetzen, können ihre Bewerbung einreichen oder nominiert werden - unabhängig davon, ob aus dem Bereich 'Barcode', 'RFID' oder anderen AutoID-Segmenten.
Die unabhängige Fachjury mit renommierten Vertretern aus Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft bewertet die eingereichten Bewerbungen anhand verschiedener Kriterien und wird die Auszeichnungen auf der EURO ID 2010 feierlich überreichen.

Die offizielle Preisverleihung findet am 4. Mai um 18 Uhr im Rahmen des Ausstellerabends am Eröffnungstag der EURO ID 2010 statt.
