Maschinenbau-Produktion in Deutschland stagniert

Reales Produktionsminus 2016 von 0,2 Prozent bestätigt VDMA-Prognose

Die Produktion im Maschinenbau in Deutschland ist im vergangenen Jahr nach vorläufigen Angaben des Statistischen Bundesamts um real 0,2 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr gesunken. „2016 hat es für den Maschinenbau erwartungsgemäß nur für eine Stagnation gereicht. Dabei hatte es zur Jahresmitte noch Hoffnung auf einen besseren Wert gegeben. Doch in der zweiten Jahreshälfte nahm die Skepsis der Investoren eher wieder zu“, erläutert VDMA-Chefvolkswirt Dr. Ralph Wiechers die Entwicklung. 

Allerdings ist es der Maschinenbauindustrie in einem herausfordernden weltwirtschaftlichen Umfeld abermals gelungen, teils kräftige Rückgänge beispielsweise in China oder den USA durch erfolgreiche Geschäfte in Europa und in vielen kleineren Märkten zu kompensieren. „Der Schlüssel für diese vielen kleinen Erfolge waren Innovation, Offenheit und Verlässlichkeit. Tugenden, auf die wir weiter setzen und die wir auch politisch einfordern - national wie international", betont Wiechers.
