Shanghai, 3rd March 2014: On 1st March, the management consultancy UNITY opened an office in Shanghai. UNITY has been successfully carrying out projects in China for years. With UNITY Business Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., clients will now receive even better support on site. Dr. Alexander Suhm, partner UNITY AG, is assuming management of the new local subsidiary alongside Xiaolong Hu.

With its new office, UNITY is primarily reacting to the great need for local action: German OEMs have performed well in China and are hoping to increase their lead. Chinese manufacturers, on the other hand, are increasingly catching up. “We particularly support German OEMs to increase their efficiency – not just in production and the supply chain, but also in development. We mainly provide Chinese clients with advice on setting up competitive processes and supporting IT systems”, explains Dr. Alexander Suhm.

The management consultancy aims to establish a team of 20 advisors in Shanghai within two years. “For an execution-oriented consultancy, it is important that consultants can achieve project goals in the language and culture of the client with their operating units", adds Managing Director Xiaolong Hu, who has previously worked for other German management consultancies in China.
