Ultrafast lasers in the infrared (IR) spectral range enable diverse applications ranging from material processing, soft X-ray generation, to remote sensing and medical use. Therefore, developments in these fields rely on the availability of broadband dispersive optics covering the IR part of the spectrum.

With its know-how in custom ultrafast optics, UFI responds to the growing need of the market by offering a wide range of IR optics from 1.6 µm up to 4 µm. These enable precise phase control of diverse IR ultrafast systems, such as thulium- and holmium-based lasers with central wavelength at 2.1 µm, as well as a novel technology based on 2.4 μm chromium doped zinc sulfide (Cr:ZnS) or chromium doped zinc selenide (Cr:ZnSe) extending the laser output to 3.2 μm.
