Training has a high priority at LAPP. In total, the Stuttgart-based family-owned company offers training in 15 apprenticeship professions and dual study programs. "As a 3rd generation family business owner, it is my self-conception and responsibility to further develop LAPP so that it is well positioned for the challenges of the future. To do this, we above all need employees who enjoy working here, can grow and develop. That's why high-quality training is also very close to my heart. Particularly in times of a shortage of skilled workers, training is an important instrument for us to secure the next generation of employees," emphasizes Matthias Lapp, CEO of the LAPP Group.
Professions with future potential
The start into professional life began with an introductory training week, during which the new trainees were able to get to know the company and the most important contact persons. Next Monday (11.9.) is the first official working day in the respective department. "We want to inspire our trainees about LAPP. That's why we also offer training and study positions with particularly great future potential, such as Business Administration-Digital Commerce Management," knows Anne Voigt, Head of Training at LAPP, and adds, "Training at LAPP is as broad as possible so that the trainees get to know an overview of the entire value-added process within the training and in the company and then have a much better picture of what they really want to do."
Stays abroad & more
For example, the trainees are actively involved in the implementation of numerous projects, such as the TRAUMBERUF IT & TECHNIK, vocatium or DHBW study information day education fairs, events such as the annual LAPP anniversary celebration or the Baden-Württemberg Tinkerer and Researcher Day, as well as the 'Social Weeks - Open up! for Trainees' project in cooperation with the mehrwert agency. "Particularly attractive among trainees are our stays abroad, because LAPP is an international group with locations all over the world. This also enables our trainees to gain experience in other societies and cultures," explains Anne Voigt. This year, for example, 2nd-year dual students were able to complete part of their practical phase in Finland, India, Italy and Switzerland.
Currently, a total of 90 young people are being trained at LAPP.
