Deutsche ubitexx nominiert für begehrtesten IT-Preis Europas

CeBIT 2007: Offizielle Preisverleihung am 16. März um 11 Uhr, Convention Center, Saal 3A

Die europäische Kommission hat das Softwarehaus ubitexx für die zentrale Benutzerrechteverwaltung für mobile Endgeräte „ubiControl und ubiManager“ zum Gewinner des „European ICT Prize“ ernannt. Damit zählt ubitexx zu den besten 20 Unternehmen der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie in Europa und konkurriert als einer der 20 Finalteilnehmer um die drei Grand-Prize-Awards, die mit je 200.000 Euro dotiert sind. Auf Vorschlag einer Experten-Jury aus 19 Ländern wird die Europäische Kommission auf der CeBIT 2007 die drei Grand-Prize-Gewinner auswählen. Die Preisverleihung findet am 16. März auf der welt-größten Computerfachmesse statt. EU-Kommissarin Viviane Reding und Prof. Wolfgang Wahlster, Vorsitzender der Experten-Jury und CEO des deutschen Forschungszentrums für künstliche Intelligenz DFKI, führen die feierliche Zeremonie durch.

Die Mobile-Security-Lösung von ubitexx erlaubt Unternehmen erstmals, Benutzerrechte und Sicherheitseinstellungen auf den Windows-Mobile-Geräten ihrer mobilen Mitarbeiter durchzusetzen und zu kontrollieren. ubiControl sorgt für den störungsfreien Zugriff auf E-Mails, Kontakte und Unternehmensdaten. Es schützt Smartphones vor Fehlbedienungen und erhöht die Stabilität der Geräte. Der ubiManager ermöglicht das zentrale Management der ubiControl-Clients.
