The Museum’s collection currently includes over 8,000 dolls made from a wide range of materials such as wood, cloth, ceramic, wax and plastic, Imagine Babies will be the first electronic, virtual doll to be housed in the collection. It will be displayed as the most recent development in playing at looking after babies in the Childhood Galleries.
Catherine Howell, Collections Officer at the V&A Museum of Childhood commented: "We are very pleased to welcome Imagine Babies into the collection at the Museum of Childhood. We are always looking to expand our range of artefacts to provide visitors, both young and old, with a wide range of toys to experience. Imagine Babies on the Nintendo DS provides an interesting crossover between two areas of our collection – babies and computer games."
Imagine Babies forms part of Ubisoft’s innovative range of Imagine titles that have been created to match the interests and ambitions of young people across the country. Featuring Imagine Pet Vet, Imagine Fashion Designer and Imagine Happy Cooking, all these fun titles aim to capture the imagination, creativeness, and social side of those who play them.
