Testing of products for compatibility
“Now manufacturers can also work directly with our laboratory in Nuremberg to ensure their Alexa built-in products meet Alexa Voice Service requirements for launch,” says Sajid Mohamed, Product Manager Wireless at TÜV Rheinland. To ensure that products meet acoustic, functional and user experience (UX) requirements, TÜV Rheinland testers utilize the Alexa Qualification Tool (AQT) for automation and manual checklists provided by Amazon for certification test reports.
Broad portfolio of interoperability services
The Alexa Voice Service (AVS) is a set of tools and resources that allow device makers to build products with Alexa built-in. AVS adds to TÜV Rheinland’s existing broad portfolio of interoperability services such as Bluetooth SIG, WiFi, ZigBee, Thread, LoRaWAN, SigFox and others. This, in turn, strengthens TÜV Rheinland’s testing capabilities for chip and module manufacturers, automotive wireless and smart home wireless manufacturers.
