The Rental Flat Complex Eulachhof receives the Solar Prize 2007

Allschwil / Basel, (PresseBox) - The Zero Energy Use housing development "Eulachhof" in Winterthur (Switzerland) is awarded the Swiss Solar Prize 2007 and nominated for the European Solar Prize.
This housing development with more than 20,400 m2 of heated floor space is exemplary in terms of architecture and energy.
TRITEC’s PV installation with a size of 1,240 m2 and 176 kWp generates approximately 164,000 kWh/a for 132 rented flats and supplies the entire energy required for heating and warm water by means of heat pumps. In total the PV installation generates 547,000 kWh/a.
The housing development Eulachhof demonstrates how today’s construction technology can significantly reduce the energy demand and CO2 emissions. In addition, the jury commended TRITEC’s PV installation for its elegant integration on the roof of the housing unit.
