trinamiX joins FIDO Alliance

trinamiX GmbH joins FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance, a cross-industry coalition with the mission to establish authentication standards to help reduce the world’s over-reliance on passwords

(PresseBox) (Ludwigshafen, )
trinamiX GmbH has announced today that it has joined FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance, a cross-industry coalition with a focused mission: authentication standards to help reduce the world’s over-reliance on passwords.

FIDO Alliance is a consortium of the world’s leading technology companies such as Google, Amazon, Samsung, Qualcomm and Microsoft, dedicated to changing the way online authentication is done. FIDO and its members are developing open, interoperable authentication standards that reduce reliance on passwords with authentication that is more secure, private and easier to use. This includes biometrics such as facial scans, which allow companies and service providers to better serve their customers and employees.

trinamiX, a provider of unique vision technology for mobile and industrial products, is designing its upcoming face authentication technology to meet FIDO standards. “We are committed to provide improved face authentication for security and superior user experience. We look forward to working with FIDO and its members to better serve our customers and industry. It is a great opportunity for us to guarantee global security standards on solutions using our novel 3D imaging technology, Beam Profile Analysis”, said Dr. Stefan Metz, Director 3D Imaging at trinamiX.

“We are excited to welcome our newest associate member trinamiX GmbH,” said Andrew Shikiar, executive director and CMO of the FIDO Alliance. “The FIDO vision of universal strong authentication promises better security, enhanced privacy, more commerce and expansion of services throughout digital industries. trinamiX’ addition to our Alliance supports our industry goal to make user authentication easier and safer for all parties.”
