Hohe Treibstoffpreise und steigender Wettbewerbsdruck: Ein effizientes Flottenmanagement wird für Unternehmen der Transport- und Logistikbranche immer wichtiger. Doch besonders viele kleine und mittelständische Betriebe scheuen zum Beispiel die Anschaffung eines Telematiksystems, weil sie es für zu komplex halten.

"Mittlerweile gibt es jedoch Flottenmanagementlösungen, die einfach zu bedienen und in bestehende Systeme zu integrieren sind", sagt Carsten Holtrup. Der Geschäftsführer der Punch Telematix Deutschland GmbH wird auf der Veranstaltung zum World Usability Day am 13. November 2008 in Aachen erstmals über die Realisierung einfacher Benutzungskonzepte im Umfeld komplexer Multifunktionsgeräte am Beispiel des Bordcomputers CarCube referieren. Bei dem weltweiten Aktionstag, der dieses Jahr zum vierten Mal stattfindet, steht die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von technischen Produkten im Mittelpunkt. Schwerpunkt ist zum ersten Mal das Thema "Transportation".
