The universal PACTware operating software is now available in version 3.5, making manufacturer-independent device operation ever easier. The universal FDT frame application features even more ease-of-use as well as improved performance and efficiency in large, complex plants. Clearly structured and intuitive user interfaces allow quick and easy configuration and parameterization of field devices of any kind. Enhanced functionalities include, among others, a more flexible layout of the operating windows, revised project documentation, and new Add-Ins such as the Upload/ Download Manager which enables concurrent transfer of all plant settings to the devices. In addition to the well established project view, PACTware 3.5 also provides a plant view. In this alternative display you can group devices based on their installation position in the plant, which is also possible if different bus strands or communication protocols are involved. Concurrent use of several DTMs has also been made more efficient. The latest PACTware version has been developed compliant to FDT Specification 1.2.1.
