The FDT technologybased PACTware operating software is now available in its new version 4.0 and can be downloaded from the Trebing + Himstedt website. New features include:

- Support of IO link communication interface through universal DTMs via PACTware 4.0
- Optimization of standardized TCI (Tool Calling Interface) so that PACTware can be accessed directly from higherlevel engineering systems not provided with FDT interface (e.g. Siemens Simatic Step 7)
- Supply of plant status information per diagnosis scan according to NAMUR recommendation NE 107
- Device catalog filter function
- Optimized user interface, executable with Microsoft Windows 7
