Die Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) hat heute die Einführung der Bluetooth Low Energy-Technologie als Herzstück der Bluetooth Core Spezifikation Version 4.0. angekündigt. In diesem Zusammenhang hat Texas Instruments die volle Qualifikation seines Bluetooth Low Energy-Stacks für kombinierte BlueLink- und WiLink-Lösungen sowie seines Bluetooth v4.0 Controllers für die Single-Mode Systemon-Chip (SoC) Lösung CC2540 erlangt. Als einer der ersten Hersteller hat Texas Instruments damit die Zertifizierung sowohl für Bluetooth v4.0 Controller als auch Host-Stack erhalten.
