Teraport GmbH, a Company belonging to caatoosee ag, has expanded its software modular architecture, the DMU Toolkit, with the modules DMU.CgrReader and DMU.CgrWriter. The Teraport DMU Toolkit is one of the leading digital mock-up systems for the simulation of digital prototypes. With these new modules, direct access to the functions of the DMU Toolkit has been made possible for users of CGR formats without the necessity of redundant data keeping. Hence, all DMU Toolkit simulations can import CGR models and provide the result geometries in CGR format. An additional benefit for the user results from the fact that the CGR data can be processed irrespective of whether a CATIA license is available, or not.
Strict orientation to Client demands Expanding the DMU Toolkit with the data format CGR is a further step in the continuous further development and optimization of the Teraport DMU Toolkit 3.0. Incorporating numerous data formats increases flexibility and simplifies the operative handling of the modules. At a technical level, version 3.0 of the DMU Toolkit has been substantially upgraded with new and optimized algorithms. These algorithms facilitate a significant reduction of calculation times in digital product development. Using the automatic assembly or disassembly simulation with the DMU.Planner 3.0 as an example, it was possible to demonstrate that simulations can now be carried out up to 100 times faster than was previously possible.
