Rolf Armbruster, geboren 1942 in Lörrach, studierte BWL bei Prof. Glauner, Basel und Zeichnen an der KFA Karlsruhe. Er hat zwei Berufe: Logistik-Manager war er bis 2002, und seit 2003 ist er Künstler. Als Logistik-Manager leitete er über viele Jahre unterschiedliche Logistikprojekte im In- und Ausland für die Firma arvato. Auf vielen Kongressen hielt er Fachvorträge vor allem über Last-Mile-Prozesse. Er war Regionalgruppensprecher Westfalen der Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) und erhielt 2003 die Ehrennadel der BVL.
Seit 1988 zeichnet er regelmäßig Cartoons mit einem Roboter, die Sie sicher aus den exklusiven Veröffentlichungen in der Monatszeitschrift LFU kennen. Dieser Roboter ist sein Markenzeichen geworden. In vielen Bildern der Ausstellung ist dieser Roboter mit einem Flying Parcel zu sehen.
Rolf Armbruster gehört zu den wenigen Künstlern, die die Logistik zum Thema ihrer Kunst gemacht haben und an internationalen Logistik-Messen und -Veranstaltungen ihre Bilder präsentieren. Der Künstler Rolf Armbruster weiß, worüber er zeichnet: die Logistik liefert ihm die Ideen für die über 1000 Cartoons, Zeichnungen, Poster und Bilder, die bis heute veröffentlicht wurden. Poster und Serigraphien hängen in vielen Bürogebäuden von Unternehmen und Instituten von Berlin bis Wien.
