Neujahrskonzert der TU Ilmenau mit Beethoven, Grieg und Saint-Saëns

Das Neujahrskonzert 2015 der Technischen Universität Ilmenau findet am Mittwoch, dem 28. Januar, um 19 Uhr im Audimax statt. In diesem Jahr führt das Akademische Orchester der TU Ilmenau Werke von Beethoven, Grieg und Saint-Saëns auf. Für den jungen musikalischen Leiter Niklas Hoffmann ist es die letzte große Aufführung mit dem Universitätsorchester.

Von Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) spielt das Akademische Orchester der TU Ilmenau die Sinfonie Nr. 6 "Pastorale" und die "Romanze" für Violine und Orchester in F-Dur; von dem norwegischen Komponisten Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) die "Morgenstimmung" aus der Peer Gynt Suite; und von Camille Saint- Saëns (1835-1921) "Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso" für Violine und Orchester. Das Akademische Orchester wird zum letzten Mal unter der musikalischen Leitung des 24-jährigen Niklas Hoffmann stehen, der an der Musikhochschule Franz-Liszt Weimar Orchesterdirigieren studiert.

Traditionsgemäß ist das Neujahrskonzert der TU Ilmenau verbunden mit dem Rückblick des Rektors, Prof. Peter Scharff, auf das vergangene Jahr und seinem Ausblick auf das neue Jahr. Anschließend verabschiedet der Rektor die ehemaligen und begrüßt die neuen Professoren der Universität.
