TECHART at the Essen Motor Show 2012

(PresseBox) (Leonberg, )
TECHART shows an extract of its individualization and refinement program for cars of the Porsche brand at this year's Essen Motor Show from 1 to 9 December, 2012. Highlight is the celebration of the world premiere of the new TECHART Aerodynamic Kit I for the Porsche Boxster.

TECHART Highlight: Individualization of the Porsche Boxster

TECHART Individualization means not just the creation of a sophisticated design; it means also highest quality and the TECHART-typical variety and flexibility. The world premiere car in Essen will be shown with the new developed TECHART Aerodynamic Kit I, painted in GT Silver, as well as a great number of applications in an elegant high-gloss black painting. TECHART Formula III forged light alloy wheels in 21-inch complete the sporting focus of the car.

Also the refined interior of the two-seater, done in the in-house TECHART manufactory, is characterized by the colors of the exterior: the silver is used at the TECHART 3-spokes sport steering wheel made of perforated black leather in a decorative hand-sewn stitching as well as the ergonomic TECHART paddle shifters. Visual contrasts are red painted trims for example at the dashboard, the door panels or the centre console, which give the interior a tastefully and sporty overall picture.

Silver meets white - two Porsche 911 frame the world premiere

The Boxster individualization is framed by two additional unique programs: the TECHART GTStreet RS based on the Porsche 911 GT2 as well as the TECHART interpretation of the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet.

The TECHART GTStreet RS - equipped with the power kit TA 097/T2.2 and a plus of 125 kW (170 hp) and 180 Nm torque compared to the series model the car impresses with 515 kW (700 hp) and a maximum torque of 860 Nm.

Therefore it is one of the fastest and most powerful cars of the Motor Show.

The TECHART Exterior program for the Porsche 911 Carrera S convinces with its unique sporty design - but also with a technically optimisation of the whole refined car. Each of the TECHART component parts for the Porsche 911 was put through a cycle of comprehensive tests during the development process.

For example, the TECHART exterior kit was optimised for its aerodynamic effect on the entire vehicle, e.g. using tests in the wind tunnel. Thus the TECHART front spoiler reduces the lift on the front axis of the Carrera by 5 kg at a speed of 140 km/h; the TECHART rear spoiler II produces the benefit of an remarkable additional down force of 17.5 kg at the vehicle rear at the same speed.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the Essen Motor Show in Hall 3, stand number 230, together with our development partner Continental. Further information and registration at www.techart.de/messen.
