Codian reicht Patentverletzungsklage gegen Polycom ein

Codian, einer der führenden Anbieter von Videokonferenzinfrastrukturlösungen, hat heute beim Amtsgericht (Federal District Court) von Texarkana in Arkansas Klage gegen Polycom Inc. eingereicht. Codian beschuldigt Polycom der Verletzung der US-Patentnummern 5.262.964 und 6.535.238. Codian verlangt eine permanente einstweilige Verfügung und finanziellen Schadensersatz. Codian behauptet, dass Polycom Patente von Codian an den Voice- und Videokonferenzprodukten verletzt hat. Betroffen sind hierbei die Produktserien MGC, RMX 2000, VSX 7000, VSK 8000, HDX 9000 und die SoundPoint IP Produktreihe.

Die geltend gemachten Patente decken eine Reihe von Technologien ab, um Videokonferenzen effizient zu handhaben und Multimediadaten auszutauschen.
