take-e-way develops WEEE take-back system for retail shops, online trade and the distance electronic selling in Germany according to the ElektroG

Any interested trading, disposal and recycling companies can get into contact by phone number +49/40/219010-71 or logistik@take-e-way.de

(PresseBox) (Hamburg/Germany, )
In the frame of the revised Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG = German WEEE conversion) the retail trade, online dealers and the distance electronic selling business who dispose of more than 400 sqm of sales or storage surface will have the obligation to take back used and waste electrical and electronic equipment and devices. This includes considerable obligations of documentation for these dealers. In order to be able to guarantee the requirements of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) after having taken back used and waste electrical and electronic equipment and devices on site or at a “reasonable distance”, take-e-way will provide a take-back system for the retail and online traders as well as the distance electronic selling retailers.

Accredited take-back system for more than 3,200 manufacturers
take-e-way does not only provide a legally secure framework for the registration and recycling of used and waste electrical and electronic equipment and devices for the trade, but also for the recycling partners as an accredited take-back system for its more than 3,200 manufacturers. Collective take-back systems for manufacturers and distributors are also expressively provided in the new draft of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).

To do so, take-e-way enters into contracts with mainly medium-sized disposal and recycling companies, which can guarantee the collection and recycling within the law.

At this, the disposal companies shall collect and market independently. Only the necessary messages and the reporting to the foundation EAR should be bundled and guaranteed via take-e-way.

For this purpose, take-e-way is in search for other disposal and recycling partners in order to include them into the already existing, nationwide take-back system within the law.

For the reuse of the still usable or marketable used electrical and electronic devices, non-profit organisations, such as for instance sheltered workshops are included into the network.

Relief in dealing with bureaucratic obligations and burdens
Therefore, a considerable relief from additional obligations and the related burdens of bureaucracy will be provided to the trade.

In this way, the customers of the more than 3,200 manufacturers, distributors and importers who are connected to take-e-way will have the option to return used and waste electrical and electronic equipment and devices within the disposal network.

The aim of take-e-way is to develop a network which is independent from the public municipal waste management authorities (örE), which will show the take-back stations in the clear 4-digit area.

Any interested trading, disposal and recycling companies can get into contact with Mrs. Maika Strey, Mr. Jochen Stepp or Mr. Christoph Brellinger by phone number +49/40/219010-71 or send an email to logistik@take-e-way.de
