Successful 2006 for SVOX

Due to its innovation leadership and outstanding customer service, SVOX the premier supplier of TTS-based embedded speech output solutions has again overachieved its own objectives. Prospects for 2007 are bright

(PresseBox) (Zurich, ) In the fiscal year ending on Dec 31, 2006, SVOX AG has again set a new sales record. With more and more design wins both in the mobile and automotive industry the leading provider of premium speech output solutions has surpassed previous year’s revenues by another 34 percent. Beat Curti, Chairman of the Board of Directors comments: “Indeed, 2006 has been a very rewarding year for SVOX. We have clearly established ourselves as one of the top two global providers of embedded TTS to the automotive and the portable navigation industry.”

SVOX has encountered particularly strong demand in mobile navigation over the past months. Design wins with Acer, Asus, Destinator, Elektrobit, JVC, Map & Guide, Medion, Packard Bell and many more have underlined SVOX’s excellent reputation in the market place. Exemplary for the market evolution is the MEDION GoPal navigation device, which – after a time-to-market of only six weeks – was highly lauded for its text-to-speech implementation and sold out on day 1.

2007 will see the market launch of many more devices powered by SVOX text-to-speech. As such, Volker Jantzen, SVOX CEO, projects another outstanding year for SVOX: “With four large automotive OEM systems and several portable navigation solutions seeing their market launch, I am expecting a revenue growth of at least 100 percent in 2007.”
