SVOX, the leading provider of speech solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the new Russian voice across the range of SVOX Automotive and SVOX Mobile speech output solutions, according to company’s CTO Marcel Riedi. The addition of this pleasant and highly intelligible male voice brings the total number of voices in the SVOX TTS portfolio to 37, with availability for all major platforms and various footprints.

The modular architecture of SVOX speech output solutions means that the new voice is now available across the whole range of TTS solutions based on unit selection technology, namely SVOX Automotive TTS (Standard, Pro and Plus configurations) and SVOX Mobile TTS (Standard, Pro and Plus configurations).

Martin Reber, SVOX CEO, noted: “Russian and CIS markets are some of the most important in Europe and we have set ourselves a goal to offer our customers a choice of different voices. Now that we offer both male and female Russian voices, our mobile and automotive customers have more opportunities for differentiation and even more consumers in the region will be able to communicate with their devices naturally, using their native language.”

SVOX is constantly working to extend and update its portfolio of polyglot TTS languages and voices, with more languages, including Hungarian, under development. The 26 languages available now are: Arabic, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, US and UK English, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Brazilian and European Portuguese, Russian, European and North American Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
