SVOX adds Brazilian Portuguese, continues to expand TTS language portfolio
Addition of a highly intelligible female Brazilian voice brings the total number of languages in the SVOX TTS portfolio to 24 and the number of voices to 35, with availability for all major platforms and various footprints.
The modular architecture of SVOX speech output systems means that the new voice, as well as all other languages and voices are available across the whole range of TTS solutions based on unit selection technology, namely SVOX Automotive TTS (Standard, Pro and Plus configurations) and SVOX Mobile TTS (Standard and Pro configurations).
Martin Reber, SVOX CEO, noted: “Brazil is one of the top emerging markets globally and SVOX was keen to offer its automotive and mobile customers the local TTS language. SVOX is pleased that the growing number of Brazilian consumers will now be able to communicate with their devices naturally, using their native language.”
SVOX is constantly working to extend and update its portfolio of TTS languages and voices, with more languages, including Arabic, under development. Now available are: Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, US and UK English, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Brazilian and European Portuguese, Russian, European and North American Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
