Anstie and Seewer ready for Swedish MX2

(PresseBox) (Bensheim, )
The Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe factory-backed RM-Z250s of Max Anstie and Jeremy Seewer will be protagonists in two categories at Uddevalla this weekend for the Grand Prix of Sweden and the 10th round of 17 in the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship.

Almost two weeks after filling-in for the injured Julien Lieber at Maggiora in Italy, young Swiss Seewer will again be on the Grand Prix stage but this time in the third round of the competitive European EMX250 contest where he holds second in the standings and lies just eight points behind countryman Valentin Guillod after third and second positions in the first two outings.

The European EMX250 series is the traditional feeder to the MX2 Grand Prix class and it is in this tough domain that Max Anstie will renew his battle for better starts and a more realistic chance of his first (overdue) podium finish in 'yellow'.

"To be honest we just need all the work and testing and just a little bit of race luck to come together," said Team Manager Thomas Ramsbacher. "Max has shown he has very good speed and makes lap-times in practice that should mean he is right near the top of the leaderboard. Recently there have been some stupid things happening at the beginning of races and we're not showing the form we had at the beginning of the year.

"It will come and one decent result will restore some confidence for Max because he feels really good on the Suzuki," the German added.

While Seewer sees action once more for the team in Sweden, Latvia next week will bring Brian Hsu back into the frame for the third round of the European 125MX series on the two-stroke RM125. The teenager has now finished exams and schooling and can fully concentrate on his race ambitions, a hint of which was shown last week at Aichwald for the third fixture of the ADAC MX Masters German Championship when he took a decent seventh place in and amongst a raft of 250cc machinery.

MX2 FIM Motocross World Championship (after 9 of 17 rounds): 1. Jeffrey Herlings (NED, KTM), 447 points; 2. Jordi Tixier (FRA, KTM), 323 p.; 3. Jose Butron (ESP, KTM), 285 p.; 4.
