In its current edition, Internet Magazine compared the entry-level solutions of four commercial video platform providers. The conclusion: stream5 prevails in all aspects and again ranks number one. In July and August 2009 the Internet Magazine’s editorial staff had already recommended stream5. The PC magazine reviewed stream5 in the 09/2009 issue and rated it as the best.

Besides the fast loading time, testers were especially pleased with the easy and intuitive operation of the stream5-solution 2Go. stream5 therefore comes nearest to "the most important aim - of making video controllable." Among those tested, stream5 was also the only provider offering individual customization for displaying the videoplayer's functions. stream5 won extra points with permalinks for viral video spreading, adjustable fluctuating freeze-frames, high-quality (HQ) switch for a more defined image and scrubbing for moving within the video. According to Internet Magazine, in terms of statistics, stream5 has practically no competition, in terms of amount of downloads, viewing minutes and traffic generated. Additionally, there is an exact itemization of how often certain player functions are used within a particular time-frame. The data is graphically enhanced and may be imported as an Excel or PDF file.

Christoph Hölzlwimmer, stream5's CEO comments: "We are very proud that we have been rated best amongst our contenders. With this victory, stream5 sets a standard of brand quality that will serve as reference for customers. Furthermore, it asserts our work with the IPTV Association, promoting quality streaming services."
