Whenever a cylinder is needed in conjunction with heating or hot water supply, STIEBEL ELTRON has the answer: the company from Holzminden has taken advantage of its expertise and years of experience when it comes to free-standing cylinders and has expanded the line of products significantly. With the new range the right cylinder can be supplied to meet practically any requirement.

The new SBS 800, 1000 and 1500 W und W SOL cylinders assume a dual function: they ensure the supply of hot water and at the same time are buffer cylinders. The highly efficient high-grade steel corrugated pipe increases the level of hygiene for drinking water, because only slight quantities still need to be stored in order to serve the draw-off points with hot water. If required this can also be based on environmentally friendly solar energy: thanks to the additional solar heat exchanger in the SBS ... W SOL cylinders a further regenerative energy carrier can be integrated without any difficulty. This advances the instantaneous water heating cylinder to become a real bundle of energy in the boiler room. In order to make this bundle complete the appropriate thermal insulation - WD 800, WD 1000 and WD 15000 SBS - is available as an accessory.

With a cylinder capacity of 1,000 or 1,500 litres respectively, the SBP 1000 und 1500 E and E SOL buffer cylinders are the right choice when large volumes of hot water need to be stored and large capacities need to be separated. They are ideal for use in conjunction with the new WPF 20..66 large-scale heat pumps in single or cascade operation. What is more, the SOL versions are fitted with an integral heat exchanger for the combination with a solar thermal system. Two further heat generators such as gas, oil or pellet heating or electric threaded heaters can be connected to the cylinder in addition. The flange opening also enables parallel operation with electric flange heaters or other heat generators. Thus the SBP free-standing cylinders create a good-sized interface and connection point for heating with very different energy systems. In combination with the "Thermomodul" top-quality thermal insulationavailable in the range of accessories as WD 1000 or 1500 SBPthe cylinder ensures an almost loss-free supply of heat, so that restricted times determined by electricity rates no longer present problems when operating heat pumps.

The SBB 501 WP SOL free-standing cylinder rounds off the SBB series with a superior model. First and foremost it offers more. More capacity for domestic hot water with a cylinder holding 500 litres. More connection options for different configurations of heat pumps and connection to solar heating for example. And more exchanger surface area for efficient energy transfer. The cylinder thus forms the central connection point for energy from regenerative sources. The SBB is suitable for supplying larger households up to an operating pressure of 10 bar.

The SBP 200 and 400 E cool as well as the 1000 and 1500 E cool buffer cylinders are outstandingly well suited, not only for storing heat for central heating but also for storing water in order to cool the living space in hot weather. Both the 200 and 400 litre cylinders with an additional all-round foam insulation are ideally suited for use in detached or semi-detached homes, while the models with 1,000 or 1,500 litre capacityin this case the necessary thermal insulation WD 1000 and 1500 cool is available as a special accessoryoffer excellent service in larger buildings such as multi-family dwellings, offices, schools or nursery schools.
