STIEBEL ELTRON provides convenient technical solutions for every aspect of renewable energies, hot water, air-conditioning and central heating. Right from its very foundation back in 1924 the company has set store exclusively by quality products of the highest calibre. Hence it has to this day pursued the idea of the company s founder, Dr. Theodor Stiebel, which was to combine safety, convenience and low energy consumption in all the products for the newly emerging electrical industry. To this day his idea lives on in one of the most successful companies in the sector of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration and renewable energies. Not least because one thing has not changed in past 83 years: the three founding principles of the company.
The family tradition is perhaps the most vital constituent in STIEBEL ELTRON s self-image. Today the owner-managed business is still in the hands of the company founder s two sons, each holding a 50 percent share. For Frank und Dr. Ulrich Stiebel the focus is therefore directed above all at their staff of around 3,000. Together with STIEBEL ELTRON International GmbH and its national and international sales organisations they generate total earnings of 400 million euro. All are together under the umbrella of the Dr. Theodor Stiebel Werke GmbH & Co.
As its second major creed STIEBEL ELTRON traditionally maintains good relationships with wholesalers and the trade. This equally includes a high-standard of partnership based on mutual trust and cooperation as much as active support for all partners with training programmes, measures for sales promotion and an extensive range of services.
Lastly the third maxim is the commitment to Germany as an industrial base. For this reason the largest production facilities are also to be found in Holzminden in addition to the headquarters of the STIEBEL ELTRON Group. Not only are many million electrical water heaters and heating appliances manufactured here, but, first and foremost, the high-tech products to take advantage of renewable energy. With innovative products and a team that is helping to put the company on the international track, STIEBEL ELTRON is gaining more and more in importance on a global scale.
Many other national and international production sites contribute to achieving this. A further high-tech factory in Eschwege manufactures small water heaters, water boilers and hand dryers as well as thermoplastic components for all the appliances produced by the group. With the construction of the new production hall for heat pumps in 2007, which is also the largest in Central Europe, STIEBEL ELTRON affirms its commitment to quality products with an outstanding reputation.
However, with over 16 subsidiaries and numerous offices worldwide, STIEBEL ELTRON has also successfully managed the launch onto the global market. The company is responding to international demand with great success by way of its own sales organisation and service units. And with the factories in Tianjin in China, Poprad in Slovakia and Ayutthaya in Thailand it is turning it into what it is ultimately today: an international leader for quality when it comes to heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration and systems technology.
