Cross-contamination-free work with new GuardOne® workstation from STARLAB

(PresseBox) (Hamburg, )
Sensitive and critical laboratory applications require an uncompromising clean environment and must be protected from potential contamination by bacteria, DNA or RNA. The new GuardOne® workstation from STARLAB offers the ideal solution for this – the workstation minimizes the risk of cross-contamination and protects valuable samples and reagents.

The GuardOne® workbench with quiet, energy-saving fan, real-time measurement of air flow and two-stage filter system creates a cleanroom environment* according to ISO 5. The UV lamp timer allows the work area to be decontaminated quickly and easily at any time. The workstation is made of transparent, UV-impermeable polycarbonate for optimum visibility of the working area, and complete protection against UV radiation during decontamination. A safety switch on the hinged front panel prevents accidental activation of the UV light whilst working.

GuardOne®: User-friendly! Environmentally friendly!
During the development of GuardOne®, the focus was on maximum user convenience and minimal environmental impact. The intuitive controls are operated via a touch screen that is compatible with laboratory gloves, and lab work is made even easier with an integrated Lab Timer and  automated monitoring of the UV lamp and HEPA filters. An easy to follow, color-coded display allows the status of the GuardOne® workbench to be checked at a glance. The space-saving, flat-packed workstation can be assembled without tools within 15 minutes. UV lamps with a service life of up to 9,000 hours, energy-saving LED lamps and state-of-the-art fan technology ensures GuardOne® is one of the most energy-efficient devices of this kind, available on the market.
