Companies from a wide range of industrial fields are amongst the most important S&T customers. By 2007, the company was already obtaining 26% of its total sales from projects carried out for industrial companies. In this context, S&T can offer benefits resulting from the extensive sector-specific knowledge and skills of its approximately 1,500 (mostly SAP) consultants, as well as from its global representation in 22 countries, which enables the provision of premium quality, trans-national support to internationally active industrial customers. "This new management position will strengthen our team strategically and operationally at an international level so that we can actively expand this area of business. And, with Wolfgang Käferböck, we now have access to the skills of a top industrial manager," explains Georg Komornyik, BS COO at S&T.
Between 1994 and 2007, Wolfgang Käferböck was Director of Information Processes at Mondi Business Paper Holding (MBP) and contributed significantly to the global growth of the MBP Group, one of the leading paper manufacturers in central Europe. The computer science graduate began his professional career in 1983 as a software developer and analyst for customers of IBM Linz and continued to progress in various IT management positions. "The S&T Group maintains outstanding relations with its industrial customers and has an excellent reputation in the sector. The aim is therefore to utilize the existing business potential even more effectively in all countries with an S&T presence. I relish the challenge of coordinating and developing this business in 22 countries," comments Wolfgang Käferböck, Head of Manufacturing at S&T.
