S&T: Business Continuity for Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank

S&T helped to ensure the survival of banking processes under extreme operational conditions

Vienna, (PresseBox) - S&T has implemented a Business Continuity Management System at the Croatian branch of Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank. The team, headed by Hypo Bank experts and S&T consultants, comprised over 50 most competent professionals in their individual business areas.

Over the course of a year S&T together with the bank analyzed potential negative effects on bank's business in case of damaging events such as earthquakes, floods, fire and other catastrophes. They defined Business Continuity plans based on which the bank can at any moment overcome interruptions in business and continue providing services to clients without the loss of crucial business information. The Business Continuity Management System is ensuring the recovery of business processes in a reasonable time, but still at minimal cost.

The realization of the complex project required highly competent project team members - both in the fields of business continuity management and all core banking business areas covered by this system.

Keeping the business running

By implementing the Business Continuity Management System, Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank has provided its clients with additional safety guarantees. During the project, S&T demonstrated a deep understanding of business values in the financial sector and the ability to merge business and technological goals into effective strategies.

S&T Croatia was responsible for designing the efficient management structure that will align with existing bank's organization and fulfill law, regulative and functional requirements for business continuity management.

Top expertise

Professional business continuity management consultants are internationally certified by the DRII, the Institute for Continuity Management. According to available information at DRII, there are only three listed Certified Business Continuity professionals in Croatia of which two are employed by S&T. That and a series of references in the area of Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery positions S&T at the very top of consultancy companies in Croatia for this demanding area of business.
