The steel company Slovakia Steel Mills a.s. is investing 6 million euro in the application and infrastructure of its business processes. The contract between S&T and Steel Mills covers the implementation of a business information system based on SAP (ERP) plus the deployment of manufacturing execution systems and central dispatching, including document administration.
Slovakia Steel Mills was founded in 2007 with the goal to build and operate the steelwork in Strážske, Slovakia. As a subsidiary of the Dutch company Steel Assets Management B.V., the new plant should be completed in 2010 and will then supply construction steels to customers in 12 countries on 3 continents. Experts from all over the world are involved in this demanding venture.

After that phase S&T will ensure the system continuity with an outsourcing solution during the period of 36 months from going live.
