Soventix builds first Photovoltaic System in Romania for own Account

2.1 Megawatt

(PresseBox) (Duisburg, )
Soventix GmbH started to build the first solar system in the Romanian region Mures. Together with its partner Cis Gas SRL, Soventix realized the 2.1 MWp plant in order to include it in its own portfolio afterwards. "Due to the questionable EU policy with regard to the import of solar modules and the uncertainties with regard to country-specific feed-in remuneration, investors investing in solar systems are strongly worried," says the CEO of Soventix, Thorsten Preugschas. "Therefore, we ourselves invest in solar systems which we can independently operate until we can convince interested parties of the security of their investment", Preugschas goes on to say. Furthermore, the Solar Park Cuci and a further project would be completed until November 2013; they were in negotiations with the possible end customers with regard to two further plants with a total output of 15 MWp.

The four solar parks, which together will achieve a size of about 20MWp and will produce more than 24 megawatt hours of power per year, are built on a total area of nearly 40 hectares about 300 kilometers north of Bucharest. With regard to the realization, Soventix uses modules and inverters of well-known European producers. When the four plants are completed, they will supply a total of more than 6,000 four-person households with environment-friendly solar power. In Romania, renewable energies are being promoted on the basis of green certificates for the next 15 years. Therefore, Romania is one of the few countries in Europe where solar systems can still be economically realized. "Even if the focus is on the expansion of our international presence outside of Europe, we want to continue offering plants for institutional investors in Europe", Tobias Friedrich, COO of Soventix, adds.
