The all-day power workshops open (October 23) and close (October 27) the two conferences. During the practical workshops, participants will have the chance to work closely with experts on specific topics in order to learn more about new methods and techniques. The topics of the practical power workshops range from PHP Development and Web Architecture to Web Security. PHP and web professionals, including Terrence Ryan (Google), Kaz Soto (Google) and Oliver Zeigermann (embarc) will share their best practices with the attendees.
Power Workshops at the WebTech Conference
On Sunday, October 23, Peter Kröner (Freelancer) will highlight the problems of tomorrow’s responsive web design and will present various new web standards and ideas thattry to solve these problems. Furthermore, software developer Hans-Christian Otto (crosscan) will cover key concepts such as CouchDB, NoSQL, HTTP Interface, JSON, SQL, CouchDB and PouchDB.
On Thursday, October 27, Martin Runrecht (Mayflower) and Björn Schotte (Mayflower) will provide participants with everything they need to know about how to develop a software product, from story mapping, good prioritization to how to develop a product vision. Software architect Sebastian Springer (MaibornWolff) will explain how to write tests in existing applications. The goal of this workshop is to generate awareness about the available tools that will make application testing effortless.
In addition to the conference program, IPC and WTC participants will be able to join the Expo on October 25 and October 26 where innovative companies from the IT industry present their services and products. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop their professional network and interact with speakers, industry representatives and other conference participants at selected evening events.
