Neben der umfangreichen Hauptkonferenz und zahlreichen Special Days wird die JAX 2010 durch verschiedene Workshops am Montag und Freitag vor bzw. nach den Hauptkonferenztagen umrahmt. Erfahrene Speaker und Trainer erläutern hier wichtige Aspekte von A bis Z.
Am Freitag, den 7. Mai 2010 leitet Thilo Frotscher den Workshop „Entwicklung lose gekoppelter Services“:
Der Workshop dient als Einführung in die Entwicklung von lose gekoppelten Systemen auf Basis von Services mit dokumentbasierter, asynchroner Kommunikation sowie Routing und Mediation. Auf Basis umfangreicher Praxiserfahrung werden Schritt für Schritt Architekturoptionen erläutert und live vorgeführt. Einen wichtigen Schwerpunkt bilden dabei Open-Source-Lösungen wie Axis2, Synapse, Camel und ActiveMQ.
Zusätzlich findet vom 4. bis 6 Mai parallel zur Hauptkonferenz die JAX-Expo statt.
An diesen drei Tagen haben die Besucher die Gelegenheit, sich wichtige Informationen und Anregungen von den führenden Anbietern aus dem Java-Umfeld zu holen, darunter Unternehmen wie Adobe, IBM, Microsoft, SAP und viele andere.
