More Than 200 Attendees At The First Ever JAX London

(PresseBox) ( Frankfurt am Main, London, )
We are happy to report that JAX London, which was held at the Novotel at Hammersmith last week, was a great success.
The conference saw more than 200 delegates attend sessions, where 43 international experts shared their thoughts, predictions and knowledge on current and future developments in Java, Enterprise Architecture, Agile and SOA. The conference had days dedicated to specific topics – such as 'Agile Day, 'Spring Day' – delivering highly focused content to attendees.
JAX were proud to welcome OSGi DevCon London as our official conference partners; co-hosting OSGi DevCon London and JAX London on the second day and delivering two comprehensive conference programmes to attendees. At the OSGi-hosted sessions, participants learned how to use the OSGi JPA Standard, and were introduced to OSGi-based tools such as Pax Exam 2.0 and Workflow Engine.

Highlights of JAX London, were the keynotes from Ted Neward (Neward &
Associates,) Bryan Cheung (Liferay) and Kirk Knoernschild (Burton Group.) In his 'The Busy Developer's Guide To Iconoclasm' session, Neward taught us how to distinguish the iconoclast from the pretender. Cheung gave us a unique insight into Liferay's experiences, in 'Lessons Learned: Java Development in the Liferay Community' and Knoernschild talked about 'OSGi in the
Enterprise: Agility, Modularity, and Architecture Paradox.'
JAX London was sponsored by Liferay Inc., Oracle, Zühlke Engineering GmbH and Sun Microsystems JCP. Liferay Inc. and Oracle were also present as exhibitors. Other exhibitors included BCS, dynaTrace software, (ISC)² and Skills Matter.

JAX is one of the world's leading conferences on Java, Enterprise Architecture, Agile and SOA. This may have been the first London-hosted JAX, but it isn't the first time the JAX conference has ventured abroad.
We strive to deliver conferences in the most dynamic markers, and have hosted conferences in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. JAX has its roots in Germany, where we currently host two conferences a year.
The next JAX in Germany will be held at the Rheingoldhalle Mainz from May 3rd to 7th 2010. The next JAX London is being scheduled for autumn 2010.
Please keep checking for more information.
