Erschreckend, in Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass bereits das Risikomanagement ein solches fordert. Ein Versäumnis also, das zur persönlichen Haftung der Geschäftsleitung führen kann. Dokumentation und IT sollten stets in einem Atemzug genannt werden. Auch wenn sich dies vermeintlich widerspricht, wie so mancher Techniker erklärt. Wer sich einmal das Kapitel IT-Notfallmanagement im BSI-Grundschutz-Handbuch angeschaut hat, fängt meist gar nicht erst damit an: Erschlagen und resigniert wird der wichtige Todo-Eintrag "IT-Notfallhandbuch erstellen" dann erneut verschoben.
