CeBIT 2011: Software AG Delivers Enterprise BPM - the First Integrated Solution for Full-Lifecycle Process Improvement

(PresseBox) (Darmstadt/Hanover, Germany, )
.
- Software AG is the first to offer Enterprise BPM - a holistic Business Process Management approach supporting the entire lifecycle of process improvement
- Enterprise BPM allows all process stakeholders – both business and IT – to collaborate around a single process model
- ARIS and webMethods platforms come together to allow organizations to generate measurable results quickly in the key areas of Process Transformation, Process Automation and Process Intelligence

Software AG today announced the completion of its primary integration of the ARIS and webMethods platforms. This unique offering, called Enterprise BPM, supports the entire lifecycle of process improvement. It is the first integrated and collaborative solution designed to help customers transform their business by defining strategies and developing the supporting process landscape in ways that are fully driven by business needs, owned by operational leads, supported by informed executives and delivered by enabled IT teams.

“Succeeding at process improvement requires the ability to execute tactical, project-based initiatives quickly with the collaborative support of all stakeholders, whether business or IT,” said Dr. Wolfram Jost, Chief Technology Officer and member of the Executive Board, Software AG. “But, the projects and programs must come together to support the strategic vision and goals of the organization. Software AG supports this holistic approach with Enterprise BPM. We allow our customers to move from projects to programs with an approach that is business-driven and IT enabled.”

An organization-wide, strategic approach to process excellence represents a longer-term goal for most companies, so Enterprise BPM supports “entry points”. These entry points allow organizations to get started quickly with projects in the key areas of Process Transformation, Process Automation and Process Intelligence. Process Transformation empowers business users to document and optimize business processes and align business strategy with process strategy and operations. Process Automation allows IT to support the business by creating efficient, flexible and transparent process applications through service reuse. Process Intelligence automates the discovery, analysis and benchmarking of business processes and helps organizations identify business issues faster with real-time monitoring.

Enterprise BPM brings together Business Process Analysis (BPA) and Business Process Management Suites (BPMS) through its ARIS and webMethods products. The foundation of the solution is the integration of several key platform components. At the core of the solution is the ability for all stakeholders to collaborate on a single process model. Models created in the ARIS Strategy and ARIS Design platform can be executed within webMethods BPMS with minimal rework. Changes made by anyone at any stage of the lifecycle are managed through a flexible governance model, allowing controlled collaboration throughout.

“With the combination of ARIS for business modeling and webMethods for process automation, supported by an integrated approach for process intelligence, Software AG delivers an Enterprise BPM solution that closely aligns both business and IT departments around a shared vision for process improvement. With Software AG’s Enterprise BPM approach, change management is synchronized and governed throughout the whole organization,” said Dr. Jost.

Software AG’s Enterprise BPM solutions will be presented at CeBIT 2011 in Hanover, Germany from March 1-5, in Hall 4, Booth D11.
