SLM Solutions Group AG, one of the leading providers of metal-based additive manufacturing technology, is celebrating the topping out of its new headquarters building. Around four months after construction began, SLM marked the traditional milestone together with those involved in the project. The new building will be ready for use by early 2018.
Another milestone has been reached in the construction of the SLM Solutions Group’s new headquarters. On May 10, architects and construction workers joined the SLM Solutions Group project team to celebrate the topping out of the new, ultra-modern company headquarters building on Baltische Allee in Lübeck. Following the traditional address from construction manager Tim Struck in the future dispatch hall, the team rose a glass to the new building.
In just a few weeks, the once fallow site has been transformed into a giant concrete complex. CFO Uwe Bögershausen gave special praise: “I am impressed by what has been achieved so far, and I’m thrilled with the enormous progress that has been made here over that last few months.” Bögershausen offered thanks to construction firm Goldbeck, as well as to the city and state governments.
SLM Solutions Group’s new headquarters complex measures over 17 acres, with over 4 acres of this built on. Commercial Director Daniela Wedemeyer said: “We are on schedule. The roof should be complete by the end of May, and then we will turn our focus to the interior.” The company is due to move into the new building in early 2018.
