The first day at formnext 2017 has been highly successful for SLM Solutions Group AG. The North Germans were able to convince an Asian company in the energy sector of the performance of the SLM 800 presented for the first time and received a large order for it worth at least 37 million euros.
At formnext in Frankfurt, SLM Solutions is providing deeper insights at its trade fair booth E70 in Hall 3.0 as to how additive manufacturing can already be integrated into industrial production today. The new SLM 800 machine concept enables integration into automated and fully automated production processes.
Already on the first trade fair day, SLM Solutions scored a major order for 20 new machines of the type SLM 800. The machines are going to a customer from the energy sector with headquarters in Asia. In addition to the machines of the type SLM 800, systems of the type SLM 500 may also be ordered, which could further increase the order volume.

The SLM 800 is very convincing for our industrial customers. We are very pleased that we have been able to get such impressive confirmation of our development steps on the first day of the fair.
