The 59th International Engineering Trade Fair (MSV) will take place in Brno from October 9 to 13, 2007. This year, more than 1,500 exhibitors and over 80,000 visitors from all corners of the globe are expected at the largest industry show in the Czech Republic. The completely sold-out trade fair in 2016 already threw a spotlight on the Internet of Things last year. This year, the self-renewal potential of the industry will be demonstrated even more spectacularly thanks to digital tools: not only at the exhibitors' booths, but also in special shows, e.g., about 3D-printing or collaborative robotics. The main overlapping topic is automation.
The SLM Solutions Group AG and its Czech distributor Petr Kolář will present the latest developments in selective laser melting technology at MSV 2017 in Brno. At their booth 137 in Pavilion P, the northern Germans will show the new SLM 280 2.0 with 2x 700 W lasers, which generates high-quality metallic components based on three-dimensional CAD data. Measuring 280 x 280 x 365 mm³, the machine provides one of the largest construction spaces in its class as well as patented multi-beam technology. The machine is also convincing thanks to its excellent productivity, high quality and safe powder handling.
"We see good market opportunities for us," says Stefan Ritt, VP and Head of Global Marketing and Communications. “There is a great deal of interest in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries in the Czech Republic. SLM Solutions has already sold and installed several systems in this market over the past few years. Our commitment was repeatedly valued as a clear mark of confidence and welcomed by the Czechs in many discussions. We see a positive market development for SLM Solutions in the Czech Republic in the long term."
