VANCOUVER, May 16 /CNW/ - Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR - TSX: SW) today announced that ONE Austria has selected the Sierra Wireless AirCard(R) 875 PC card to provide mobile broadband connectivity for customers of its new H.U.I. Höllenschnelles Ultra-einfaches Internet, which translates to "Fast as hell, ultra-easy Internet") service package.
ONE's H.U.I. service offers Austrian customers mobile broadband coverage on ONE's newly launched HSDPA network at a cost competitive with fixed-line service. The AirCard 875 PC card, the newest device available with the service, is now available through ONE's retail sales channels, and online at www.one.at. It currently offers peak data transfer rates of up to 3.6 Mbps (megabits per second), and is "7.2-ready," capable of peak data transfer rates of 7.2 Mbps when supported by the network.
