The tablet PCs LIFEBOOK T900, T4410, T4310, and the notebooks LIFEBOOK P770, S760, E780, S710, AH550 and P3110 utilize Qualcomm's Gobi(TM) Global Mobile Internet technology, provided by Sierra Wireless. In addition to the module and a Gobi support user interface, Sierra Wireless provided professional services to Fujitsu, including integration, testing and certification support. Fujitsu LIFEBOOK customers can access the Internet from wherever they are to connect with friends and colleagues on the go by simply subscribing to a wireless data service plan. With embedded mobile broadband capability, they no longer need to find WiFi access to get connected.
"Fujitsu stands for mobility, and our company has the industry's broadest portfolio of mobile computers with integrated 3G connectivity," said Rajat Kakar, Vice President Clients Group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions. "We have a longstanding relationship with Sierra Wireless, and we know we can always count on their experience and expertise to help us successfully deliver mobile computers with new wireless technologies to the market."
"We are excited to work with Fujitsu on the LIFEBOOK series," said Pierre Piver, Vice President of EMEA Embedded and OEM sales for Sierra Wireless. "More and more, people are dependent on the Internet to manage their lives, through online messaging, calendaring, and social media. Being connected has become essential to many people and the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK with integrated mobile broadband helps ensure they're never out of touch."
