Siemens to build combined cycle power plant in the Netherlands for about €700 million

Siemens Energy has secured an order from the Dutch utility Enecogen for a combined cycle power plant. The order is valued at around €700 million. The power plant, which will have a capacity of approximately 870 megawatts, is scheduled to go on line in late 2011. By virtue of its low emissions and high operating efficiency it will be one of Europe's most efficient fossil-fueled power plants.
