Libraries for quality requirements in discrete manufacturing

Siemens Industry Automation Division has expanded its MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) offer, Simatic IT, by a set of libraries for fulfilling quality requirements in discrete manufacturing industry. Visual inspection and non-conformance are now managed by predefined procedures easy to use and install in several types of industry. Additionally error proofing is integrated by complete electronic work instructions that help operators throughout the entire manufacturing cycle with the capability of dynamically supporting optional parts, directly at the plant level.
